Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of the DanceDeets services operated by Mike Lambert ("we", "us"): the DanceDeets Tutorials website at dancedeets.com and DanceDeets Battles street-dance tournament archive (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these terms.
The Services
The Services are free, non-commercial tools for discovering publicly available dance videos hosted on YouTube. We organize public video metadata into tutorial listings, tournament brackets, event archives, and competitor indexes. We host no video content; all playback happens in the official YouTube embedded player, and every item links back to its source on YouTube.
The Services use YouTube API Services. By using the Services you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, and information handled via YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Content and intellectual property
- All videos, thumbnails, and channel content belong to their respective creators and are served by YouTube. We claim no rights over them.
- Derived structures we compute (bracket layouts, indexes, event organization) are provided for personal, non-commercial use.
- Names of competitors and events are drawn from public video titles published by event organizers.
Removal requests
Creators, event organizers, and competitors may request removal of their content or name from the Services at optout@dancedeets.com. We action removal requests within 30 calendar days. Content removed from YouTube disappears from the Services automatically at the next refresh.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services — including scraping them at disruptive volume, attempting to circumvent YouTube's player or restrictions through them, or using them to harass individuals featured in videos.
Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Tournament structures, results, and competitor records are reconstructed automatically from public metadata and may contain errors; the videos on YouTube are the authoritative record. We are not liable for damages arising from use of the Services, and we may modify or discontinue the Services at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the current revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
